We have an exciting opportunity to work on our tier 3 weight management programme as a Dietitian - This is a full time permanent position.

The Role:

  • The aim is to work with our Tier 3 clinical team to deliver Tier 3 weight management digital and remote service to patients.
  • Provide high quality, evidence-based clinical care in line with Oviva’s training protocol and HCPC standards.
  • Support patients efficiently and center patient needs, while working as a team to meet contractual agreements.
  • Meet Oviva internal and external KPIs including clinical outcomes, patient experience and retention metrics.
  • Overcome remote working barriers ensuring great communication and teamwork with Tier 3 MDT members.
  • Share patient and programme feedback with clinical services manager to optimize the programme and Oviva technology platform.
  • Attend monthly clinical supervision and weekly clinical sessions to upskill and develop.
  • Work closely with Tier 3 Clinical Services manager, the Tier 3 MDT, Patient Services team and Safeguarding and Compliance Teams.

Job requirements

You will:

  • Provide coaching using the Oviva app to clients/patients/users of Oviva UK services.
  • Utilize expert diet and nutrition knowledge with evidence-based dietary approaches.
  • Tailor patient care to specific contractual obligations and offer local or national support resources given Oviva’s nationwide reach.
  • Support patients remotely to make positive, practical and sustainable diet and lifestyle changes.
  • Support medically and psychologically complex patients with multiple comorbidities.
  • Use behavioral change and motivational techniques to support patients through the 12 month programme.
  • Collect attendance, satisfaction and outcome data for service evaluation and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records using Oviva’s secure electronic medical record system.
  • Complete mandatory and Oviva training courses and stay updated with programme process changes.
  • Adhere to all Information Governance and data protection regulations handling patient data.
  • Be active MDT member, provide patient consultation feedback into MDT meetings when indicated, follow Tier 3 medical protocols and liaise closely with MDT prioritizing patient safety.
  • Safely manage clinical risk incidents, adverse events and out-of-range readings per Oviva protocol.
  • Follow Safeguarding and Incident policy always.
  • Work autonomously managing clinical risk with support available from team members and clinicians.

Key skills - Essential:

  • Minimum 1 year post-registration.
  • Flexible and adaptable to service and team needs.
  • Skilled user of IT including electronic patient records, email, word processing and excel.
  • Highly organized, flexible to adapt and keep up with changes in a high-paced environment.
  • Emotional resilience and ability to thrive in challenging situations.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills.
  • Evidence of maintaining CPD and meeting HCPC registration requirements.
  • Strong ability to handle sensitive, confidential data and follow Information Governance policies diligently.
  • Experience and ability to work autonomously and in a team.
  • Experience managing large caseloads with attention to detail and patient-centered care.
  • Experience in dietetic management of complex health conditions.

Desirable:

  • Experience in Tier 3 Weight management or equivalent services.
  • Experience managing safeguarding scenarios.
  • Behaviour change techniques (BCT) and/or Motivational Interviewing training and application experience.

Qualifications:

  • Registered dietitian with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Desirable: Active member of the British Dietetic Association (BDA).
  • Desirable: Completed SCOPE obesity training or CPD plan to complete.
