Job description

Become Oviva's communicative voice - internally and externally!

Why Oviva?

Our goal is a healthier future for all. Therefore, we help people with weight-related diseases through the most accessible and effective therapy.

We offer digital programs to support people with weight-related conditions including obesity, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, prediabetes, and overweight.

While weight loss is the primary goal for many of the people we support, our approach is not only about the numbers on the scale but about improving their health, self-confidence, and quality of life.

We are rapidly expanding across Europe, including the UK, Switzerland, Germany, and Poland. You will join an organization that has treated almost 1 million people and is growing strongly.

The position

In this role as Communications Lead (a), you will shape our global communication strategy from the ground up. You position Oviva and our leadership team as thought leaders in the digital health sector, increase our visibility with political decision-makers, investors, and industry/business/tech press - and ensure that our messages are clear, powerful, and consistent. At the same time, you strengthen our internal communication and help keep our fast-growing, culturally diverse organization with around 1,000 employees on course.

Job requirements

Your tasks

  • Shape Oviva's global communication and PR strategy: You develop and manage our global communication roadmap with clear KPIs. You are also responsible for our communication on LinkedIn, website & Co.

  • Lead our media work and develop strong content: You actively maintain relationships with journalists, pitch stories, handle inquiries and place Oviva in relevant business, health, and tech media. Together with internal and external partners such as PR agencies and freelancers, you develop high-quality content - clear, consistent, and effective.

  • Keep an overview even in crisis: You recognize potential reputation risks early and manage crisis communication confidently.

  • Bring our strategy to the markets: You support managing directors in Germany and Switzerland and coordinate work with local PR agencies.

  • Make our thought leaders visible: You help Oviva's leaders increase their reach on LinkedIn, in interviews, and at appearances.

  • Ensure cross-functional alignment: You closely coordinate with Public Affairs, KOL engagement, and marketing for consistent, strategically aligned communication.

  • Strengthen internal communication: You bring relevant external topics and successes into the company, thereby strengthening our understanding, mission, and team spirit.

Your profile

  • Communication professional through and through: You have solid experience in corporate communication, PR, and media strategy - ideally in the health sector, tech, or other regulated environments.

  • Strategic thinking: You know how to tell strong stories - whether for press, investors, political stakeholders, or your own team.

  • Resilient: You are familiar with crisis communication and reputation management and keep a cool head even under pressure.

  • Stakeholder management is in your blood: You communicate confidently across different stakeholder groups - from the PR team to management.

  • Organizational talent: You manage projects in a structured and efficient way - deadlines, coordination, and implementation are not new to you.

  • Language skills: Fluent in German and English.

What we offer

  • The opportunity to make a real difference in healthcare with your work.

  • An exciting and meaningful role in a fast-growing environment.

  • Extensive training and development opportunities including a personal learning budget.

  • Flexible work models & home office work for a better work-life balance.

  • A home office budget to optimally set up your workplace.

  • Attractive salary & company pension scheme.
