Job description

Are you a passionate Clinical Psychologist looking to make a meaningful impact on people's lives? Join our dynamic team in digital health and help us scale our growing business. We are currently seeking a Clinical Psychologist working on a 0 hour bank contract. We are looking for people who can commit to a minimum of 16 hours per week.

Why Oviva?

To build a healthier future for all, our mission is to provide the most accessible and effective care to people living with weight-related conditions. Because everyone deserves their healthiest self. By blending behavioural change therapy with our unique technology, our passionate team, and innovative culture, we create affordable and accessible app-based healthcare programs tackling diet-related health conditions like obesity and type 2 Diabetes. Our award-winning strategy has made us the largest digital health provider treating diet-related conditions in Europe. We operate within healthcare systems to give people access to needed medical care. We are expanding rapidly across Europe including the UK, Switzerland and Germany. You will join an organization that treated 500,000 people to date and is scaling up.
The Role:
Oviva has been commissioned to provide a specialist Tier 3 weight management service for people with complex obesity and seeks a Clinical Psychologist to grow our psychology team. You will work alongside psychology and dietetics teams. This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist with weight management and/or eating disorders experience to deliver a mixed clinical approach service. The service offers a comprehensive multi-disciplinary team (MDT) approach, combining consultant-led care with specialist dietetics, clinical and health psychology, and leveraging technology for better access and outcomes.
The psychology service provides psychological therapy to participants to motivate and succeed towards weight management goals. You will use technology like the Oviva app and telephone coaching to provide remote care and monitor/review patient progress with the MDT. You will apply CBT and other evidence-based behaviour change principles.
While working autonomously in weight management, you will receive comprehensive training and clinical supervision from our Senior Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Lead for Psychology.

Initial screening includes assessing Binge Eating Disorder risk, discussed with MDT as needed.
  • Manage clinical risk (e.g. safeguarding concerns) appropriately during practice and work autonomously with professional guidance as needed.
  • Maintain CPD, receive regular clinical supervision, and meet BPS registration requirements.
