Why Oviva?
Our goal is a healthier future for everyone. Therefore, we help people with weight-related diseases through the most accessible and effective therapy.
We offer digital programs to support people with weight-related conditions, including obesity, hypertension, type 2 diabetes, prediabetes, and fatty liver disease.
While weight loss is the main goal for many of the people we support, our approach is not only about the numbers on the scale but about improving their health, confidence, and quality of life.
We are rapidly expanding across Europe, including the UK, Switzerland, Germany, and Poland. You will join an organization that has already treated nearly 1 million people and is growing strong.
The Position
We are looking for a Behavioural Science Lead in Digital Health (a) to take our Digital Therapeutics Programs for obesity, hypertension, and type 2 diabetes to the next level. You will further develop our behavior-related interventions so that we can activate patients even better, increase their adherence to therapy, and achieve sustainable health outcomes - scalable across our platform. With your expertise, you will bring personalization, innovation, and impact to our platform and make Oviva even more effective in people's daily lives.
Your Tasks
- Design our digital health offerings: Develop effective interventions with thoughtful touchpoints such as messages, content, and reminders that promote real engagement and better health.
- Make science tangible: Translate established models like COM-B or Behaviour Change Techniques into practical, scalable measures.
- Work interdisciplinarily: Bring your expertise in close collaboration with product, coaching, clinical, and content teams - from onboarding to long-term support.
- Dive deep clinically: Analyze why users drop out or do not respond, and improve our approaches in an iterative test-and-learn process.
- Set new standards: Incorporate behavioral insights into our product features, coaching moments, and automated content, thereby strengthening our clinical excellence.
- Ensure quality and fairness: Work with the Clinical Quality Team to continuously improve safety, equity, and user experience.
- Become our voice of behavioral science: Share your expertise internally and externally, support commercial partnerships, and shape our thought leadership.
Your Profile
- Professional depth: You have an advanced degree (e.g., MSc or PhD) in behavioral sciences, health psychology, or a related field focusing on health-related behavior change.
- Practice over theory: You bring extensive experience in designing, implementing, and evaluating behavior-related interventions in health or digital health.
- Frameworks are your toolbox: You have successfully applied models like COM-B, the Behaviour Change Wheel, or the Theoretical Domains Framework in practice.
- Health literacy: You are familiar with chronic conditions such as obesity or hypertension and understand what truly motivates people to sustainable behavior change.
- Data-driven: You can analyze clinical and behavioral data, recognize patterns, derive hypotheses, and develop targeted solutions.
- Communication skills: You convey complex behavioral science concepts understandably, convince interdisciplinary teams, and create clear action impulses.
- Language skills: You speak fluent German and English.
- System understanding: You know the structures and dynamics of the German healthcare system and can navigate it confidently.
