Your responsibility:
As nilo’s Head of Finance, you will report directly to our Co-Founder & CFO and work closely with the core management team and investors. This role combines full responsibility for the finance function with hands-on work.
- Finance Operations - responsible for accounting (incl. monthly/annual closing), revenue recognition, close-to-cash process, supplier payments, etc.
- FP&A and Reporting - owning financial plan, including short-/mid-/long-term planning, budgeting process, and investor reporting to enable solid, data-driven decisions
- Treasury & Cash Flow Management - oversee cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and working capital optimization
- Cross-functional Collaboration - working closely with sales, operations, and leadership teams to drive business performance
- Team Leadership - leading and mentoring the finance team, working with external counsel to build out finance function as company scales
- Legal & Compliance Support (optional) - coordinate corporate law matters, support sales with GDPR/GTC compliance, and manage ISO responsibilities
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of finance experience with increasing responsibility, ideally in fast-growing, dynamic companies, with leadership exposure
- Experience working with executive teams and founders
- Strong analytical skills and precise, detail-oriented working style with a big-picture perspective
- High responsibility and commitment to financial health and accuracy in reporting
- Solution-oriented mindset, pragmatic attitude, and eagerness to learn
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- Fluency in English and German
