Senior Frontend Developer

Natural Cycles is a leading women’s health company that developed the world’s first birth control app, used by millions globally. We are a fast-growing startup with an international working environment across Stockholm, Geneva, New York, and remote locations. Our mission is to pioneer women’s health through research and passion, empowering every woman with the knowledge she needs to take charge of her health.

Role overview

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our Product Growth team with a focus on optimizing the web sign-up funnel. You will take ownership of the technical direction of our web sign-up experience—shipping high-quality, accessible, and performant user interfaces—and help more people discover and get started with Natural Cycles. You will work in a fast-paced, data-informed environment where your work has a direct and visible impact on conversion and growth, and you will mentor junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

  • Own and drive the technical delivery of the web-based sign-up funnel, from architecture decisions to shipping polished user interfaces.
  • Build and run A/B experiments, iterating rapidly based on real-time results and data insights.
  • Set the standard for code quality, performance, and accessibility within the team.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and analysts to deliver user-facing features of the highest quality.
  • Contribute to a healthy, scalable, and sustainable codebase.
  • Work hands-on with analytics and data, taking a data-driven approach to frontend decisions wherever possible.
  • Ensure continuous delivery of new releases while working in an agile way.

Required skills and experience

  • 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development with a strong portfolio of shipped web products.
  • Experience working with backend or full-stack development.
  • Deep expertise in TypeScript and the Angular framework (or equivalent experience with another modern component-based framework and ability to ramp up quickly).
  • Strong command of modern CSS (Flexbox, Grid) and experience with pre/post-processors such as SASS or PostCSS.
  • Solid experience building responsive, performant, accessible, and inclusive user interfaces.
  • Experience with A/B testing and conversion rate optimization.
  • Comfort working with data and analytics tools to inform and validate decisions.
  • Experience with Git, GitHub, pull requests, and conducting thorough code reviews.
  • Clear communication and effective cross-discipline collaboration skills.

Nice to have

  • Leadership experience.
  • Background in growth-focused product teams or experience with web sign-up funnels.
  • Commercial acumen and an understanding of business drivers.
  • A passion for women’s health.

Technology stack

TypeScript, Node.js, Express.js on GCP; React Router 7, React, Angular, Capacitor, Ionic on the frontend; Firebase Hosting; highly automated CI pipelines (GitHub Actions); biweekly AppStore/Google Play releases. The company encourages open source contributions.

What we offer

  • Flexible work arrangement: part of a team based in and around Stockholm that values effective collaboration and transparent communication, irrespective of work location.
  • Professional development working with industry-leading developers.
  • Modern technology and an environment that empowers you to contribute ideas and ownership.
  • Impactful projects that create tangible value.
  • Commitment to quality and long-term product development.

Location

We are remote-friendly and the role is offered as fully remote, but we are hiring for this role in Sweden. Most of the Product Growth team is located in Stockholm and the team occasionally meets in the office for collaboration and face-to-face time.

How to apply

To apply, upload your CV and answer the questions on the application form on the career site. Applications sent by email are not accepted due to GDPR; only applications submitted via the career site (and in English) will be considered.
