About mio42
mio42 GmbH develops medical information objects (MIOs) commissioned by the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (KBV) to revolutionize interoperability of medical data in healthcare. Transparency and participation of the MIO community are important to us. Our mission is to transform analog data into structured digital information to lay the foundations for contents of the electronic patient record.
MIOs help various actors in healthcare to exchange, update, and reconcile information more easily across software boundaries, enabling better collaboration in patient care.
What We Do
In collaboration with KBV, mio42 develops and specifies standards for cross-system exchange of health and patient data. The MIOs are digital information building blocks that ensure interoperable exchange by encoding medical information in formats like XML/FHIR®. Our interdisciplinary teams analyze, model, and code the information to ensure semantic interoperability and broad applicability.
Our work supports the availability and usability of relevant patient data across practices, hospitals, labs, and many healthcare institutions through the electronic patient record.
Careers
We are looking for creative minds from fields such as medicine, coding, project management, and FHIR® to join our team. We offer flexible working hours, vacation, asset-building benefits, public transport subsidies, employee restaurant access, continuous training, and a supportive work environment.
