We develop the future of communication in healthcare

mio42 creates and maintains Medical Information Objects (MIOs) — standardized, reusable building blocks for documenting and exchanging clinical data in electronic patient records (ePA). Our mission is to make medical information interoperable, clear and combinable so that clinicians, patients and systems can use the same universal language of healthcare data.

What we do

We design standards, tools and reference implementations for structured health information such as patient summaries, lab reports, imaging reports, hospital discharge letters and exchange interfaces. Our work supports the digitalisation of the healthcare system and ensures that essential information is available and understandable across different systems.

Careers and collaboration

We are looking for thinkers and builders who want to shape the MIO ecosystem. If you want to contribute to interoperable health data, work with clinicians and developers, and influence national-level digital health standards, visit our careers page to learn about open positions and how to join us.
