mio42 GmbH develops medical information objects (MIOs) on behalf of the National Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (KBV), revolutionizing the interoperability of medical data in healthcare. Transparency and involvement of the MIO community are paramount during the creation of our MIOs. Our mission is transitioning from analog to digital and from unstructured to structured data, defining the foundations for electronic patient record content, including vaccination passports, maternity record booklets, dental bonus booklets, and child health booklets.

We work to enable healthcare providers like doctors' offices, hospitals, and laboratories to exchange, update, and research patient data seamlessly across software boundaries through the electronic patient record by developing MIOs, which are standardized digital information building blocks.
