Location: Bay Area (Hybrid) or Fully Remote. Reports to: Director, Content. Leads: Social Team.
Hi 👋 I’m Jihan, Director of Content at Midi.
We’re building the most trusted, evidence-based education platform in women’s midlife health—and social is one of our most powerful growth and cultural channels. This role is focused on turning Midi into the most trusted, talked-about, and shared voice in midlife health by creating platform-native content that reaches millions, earns engagement, drives brand relevance, and supports real business outcomes.

About Midi Health:

Midi Health is the fastest-growing virtual clinic focused exclusively on women’s midlife health. We deliver insurance-covered care for women navigating perimenopause, menopause, and other hormone-related health challenges. Our care model combines clinical expertise with technology to improve access, outcomes, and quality of life for millions of women. We’ve raised backing from top-tier investors and are scaling rapidly, now caring for hundreds of thousands of patients across the U.S.

About the Role:

We’re looking for a strategic and creative leader to serve as our Director of Social Media. You will define and execute our social media vision, building a dynamic content ecosystem that drives brand awareness and increases reach, deepens community connection while leading cultural conversations, and supports business growth. You will lead our social presence across all platforms, establish creative standards, and stay ahead of cultural moments and platform evolution.

What youwill do:

Refine our strategy and vision: Develop and lead social strategy across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Threads, YouTube), defining content approach, community guidelines, and success metrics while staying ahead of trends and platform updates.
Operationalize our processes: Establish social-first production strategy and resourcing; create content guidelines that maintain consistency while allowing platform-specific adaptation; lead creative collaboration with external partners, agencies, and creators when necessary.
Level up our content execution: Own and manage the integrated social calendar, oversee content creation across platforms, and build scalable workflows for rapid deployment in collaboration with senior social media manager.
Own the numbers: Use analytics to track KPIs and optimize content performance; lead test-and-learn experiments across platforms and formats; develop measurement frameworks that demonstrate social's impact on brand health and business objectives.
Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with creative, lifecycle, community, growth, editorial, and influencer teams to align messaging and campaigns across all customer touchpoints.
Lean into social listening: Identify opportunities to lead cultural conversations and shape the narrative around women’s midlife health; partner with PR and community teams to amplify moments and manage reactive situations.
Lead your team: Mentor and manage a high-performing social media manager; establish clear roles and growth paths; foster a culture of creativity, experimentation, and continuous learning.

What youll need to succeed:

  • 7+ years of social media experience at a major brand, agency, or high-growth organization with a proven track record of building and scaling social communities, driving engagement, and delivering measurable business impact
  • Portfolio showcasing social-first work that demonstrates clear conceptual thinking, platform-native execution, strong visual storytelling, and documented results in reach, engagement, and brand growth
  • Ability to operate at both high-level strategy and hands-on production; experience leading video and content productions from concepting through distribution with extreme attention to detail and quality
  • Deep understanding of social media analytics, measurement frameworks, and platform tools; stays current on algorithm changes, emerging features, and cultural trends across major platforms
  • Strong writer with exceptional communication and collaboration skills; proven capacity to build cross-functional relationships, influence stakeholders, and work effectively across brand, creative, product, and marketing teams
  • Experience managing and mentoring social media teams; strong project management skills with ability to multitask, prioritize competing deadlines, and maintain quality; self-starter who works autonomously while fostering collaboration
  • Results-driven mindset that balances creative ambition with strategic thinking; ability to quickly learn new systems and adapt to evolving platforms, tools, and business needs
Bonus Points:
  • Experience in health, wellness, or another high-trust category
  • Creator/influencer ecosystem experience
  • Startup or high-growth environment
Compensation: The salary range for this role will depend on experience and location.
