The Role
We are hiring a Videographer & Social Media Manager to own Meela’s video content and social media execution. This position will translate product development, pilots, and real-world use into clear, compelling content. This is a 1099 contract role to start.
Location: New York City (on-site). Schedule: 30–40 hours/week for the first three months, project-based, with an opportunity to convert to full-time.
What You'll Do
- Produce one polished long-form video each month (founder updates, product stories, or on-site footage).
- Create 2–3 short video clips per week derived from that core content.
- Own the full content workflow: planning, filming, editing, and publishing.
- Execute Meela’s existing social media strategy and provide input as it evolves.
- Focus primarily on LinkedIn and Instagram; YouTube Shorts may be added over time.
- Capture content on-site in NYC and occasionally at partner locations.
What We're Looking For
- Strong video production and editing skills with good judgment around tone and storytelling.
- Experience creating video-first content for social platforms.
- Organized and dependable, able to work against a planned content cadence.
- Comfortable executing a defined strategy while offering thoughtful input.
- Interest in healthcare, aging, or mission-driven work is a plus.
