What You’ll Do
As a Senior Software Engineer at Meela you will design and build features across a voice-first AI platform, working across backend memory pipelines, web interfaces, and data tooling. You will collaborate closely with the CEO and CTO and play a hands-on role in shaping engineering practices and product culture.
- Architect and build full-stack features across a voice-first AI platform—from backend memory pipelines to tools for conversation review and analysis.
- Design reliable infrastructure to support AI companions that remain helpful and personal over hundreds of calls with the same user.
- Work across the stack using Python, React, vector databases (Pinecone), and LLM tools to create production-ready systems.
- Collaborate directly with leadership on product strategy and technical design.
- Continuously improve AI quality through data tooling, observability, and iteration on personalization and conversation flows.
What You Bring
- Full-stack engineering experience with a strong backend focus and experience shipping systems in early-stage environments.
- Fluency in Python and ReactJS and familiarity with modern web frameworks and API design.
- Experience or strong interest in LLMs, RAG, and conversational AI systems.
- A mind for scalable design, clean abstractions, and operational excellence.
- Strong product intuition and the ability to translate user experience into technical architecture.
- A proactive, ownership-oriented approach and deep alignment with Meela’s mission to improve older adults’ lives.
