Sales Development Representative (SDR)

Location: New York, NY (or Remote/Hybrid)

The Opportunity

Meela is looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to help expand Meela’s presence in senior living communities, healthcare organizations, and care providers. The SDR will identify new business opportunities, generate qualified leads, and build relationships with decision-makers in the senior care ecosystem.

About Meela

Meela is an “AI Staff Member” that supports senior living operational excellence by empowering care and hospitality teams and elevating the resident experience without adding operational burden. Meela is available 24/7 by phone, supports warm conversational interactions in 14 languages, reduces administrative burden for staff, and provides visibility into operations for leadership.
Meela is growing rapidly and is projected to be live in ~200 senior living communities by Q2 2026. Adoption is driven by immediate ROI with zero startup costs, no hardware, and minimal training.

What You9ll Do

Lead Generation
  • Identify and research potential customers in senior living, assisted living, memory care, and healthcare organizations
  • Build targeted prospect lists and manage outreach pipelines
Outreach & Prospecting
  • Conduct outbound prospecting via email, phone, and LinkedIn
  • Schedule discovery calls and product demos for the sales team
  • Personalize outreach based on each organization9s needs
Relationship Building
  • Build early relationships with executive directors, operators, and care leaders
  • Understand customer pain points related to loneliness, engagement, and caregiver workload
Pipeline Development
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads using defined criteria
  • Maintain CRM records and track outreach performance
  • Work closely with leadership to refine messaging and sales strategies
Market Insights
  • Provide feedback from prospects to help improve product positioning
  • Track industry trends in senior care, AI health technology, and eldercare services

What We9re Looking For

Required
  • 1–3 years experience in sales or business development roles
  • Ability to automate outreach at scale using tech platforms & experience with CRM tools (HubSpot)
  • Highly organized and comfortable managing outreach pipelines
  • Self-starter who thrives in early-stage startup environments
Preferred
  • Experience selling SaaS, healthcare technology, or B2B products
  • Familiarity with senior living or healthcare markets
  • Interest in AI, healthcare, or mission-driven startups
  • Energetic, curious, and mission-driven candidate passionate about improving emotional wellbeing and connection for older adults
