Marketing Coordinator & Social Media Manager

Part-Time, Contract (20–30 hrs/week). On-site in New York City. $30–$60/hour. Opportunity to grow into a full-time role.

The Role

We are hiring a part-time Marketing Coordinator / Social Media Manager to own Meela’s social presence and support broader marketing execution, with emphasis on creating and editing visual collateral. Social media is the core responsibility: plan, create, and ship content consistently. This is an on-site NYC role with a clear path to full-time for the right person.

What You’ll Do

  • Own Meela’s social media presence across platforms (primarily LinkedIn and Instagram)
  • Support design needs (social graphics, marketing assets)
  • Plan and execute a consistent posting cadence (2–3 posts per week)
  • Implement and iterate on Meela’s social media strategy
  • Assist with broader marketing coordination and execution
  • Provide light executive-assistant-style support related to marketing and communications
  • Event and conference planning

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience managing social media for a company or organization and exposure to broader marketing execution. Comfortable implementing existing content and executing consistently. Extensive experience with design tools (Canva, Figma). Soft video skills required (capturing short clips, basic editing, preparing content for social platforms). Comfortable working on-site in New York City. Clear interest in Meela’s mission.

Nice to Haves

  • Deeper videography experience (shooting, lighting, editing, longer-form video)
  • Startup or small-team experience
  • Experience supporting broader marketing work
  • Familiarity with healthcare, senior living, or mission-driven companies
