New York City (In-Person, Full-Time). $125,000–$175,000 base salary + equity and benefits.
Meela’s mission is to end the silent epidemic of social isolation among older adults by building a phone‑based AI companion that eliminates apps, logins, and screens. The product drives deep, meaningful conversations and has shown clinical improvements in anxiety and depression.
The Role
We are hiring a Chief of Staff to work across company strategy, operations, go‑to‑market execution, hiring, and product. This is a high‑trust, high‑impact role with visibility into most parts of an early‑stage company. The role combines strategic thinking with hands‑on execution and ownership.
What You'll Do
Key responsibilities include:
- Drive execution across company strategy, operations, and product–GTM alignment
- Translate high‑level goals into clear workstreams with ownership and follow‑through
- Own cross‑functional projects that don’t yet have a clear home
- Build systems and processes that help the company scale
- Interface with care providers, customers, and external partners
- Keep the company focused, coordinated, and operating at a high bar
- Support hiring and development of key leaders and operators
Travel will be required.
What We're Looking For
Requirements and qualities:
- 3+ years of professional experience (startup, strategy, consulting, product, ops, or adjacent roles)
- Highly self‑directed and organized; comfortable owning open‑ended problems
- Strong judgment and ability to operate with ambiguity
- Clear belief in Meela’s mission and desire to work on something meaningful
- Comfortable with fast pace, high ownership, and wearing multiple hats
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice to Haves
Preferred experience:
- Experience at an early‑stage or high‑growth startup
- Prior Chief of Staff, founder, product, or operations experience
- Exposure to GTM, sales, or customer‑facing work
- Degree from a competitive academic institution
