Medxai — Artificial intelligence for better diagnoses
We deliver best-in-class machine learning products to healthcare practitioners, from concept to certification, in close collaboration with medical domain experts. Our mission is to bring data science into the doctor's office and assist clinicians to provide faster, more accurate and more informative diagnoses.
Approach & activities
We specialize in data science challenges in healthcare, preferring transparent and interpretable methods over black-box models to enable explainability and prescriptive what-if modelling. We develop clinical decision support systems and work to translate models into certified, production-ready tools for clinical use.
We collaborate closely with clinicians and researchers, publish findings, and share methods and code with the scientific community. Recent collaborations on the site include projects with the University Medical Center Utrecht (UMCU) and EZA.
Origins & funding
Medxai originated from ABN AMRO's Beyond Banking hackathons (2017–2019) and formed a dedicated team of data scientists and machine learning engineers. The company is financially supported by the European Union and Kansen voor West.
