What youll do at M7
Were looking for a Software Engineer to help redefine how hospitals manage nursing staff. You will be a hands-on builder contributing to large technical initiatives and collaborating closely with product managers and healthcare operations experts.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Execute With Impact: Deliver high-quality, high-visibility features that power hospital operations nationwide.
- Leverage AI: Apply AI/ML techniques to enhance scheduling intelligence, streamline workflows, and surface actionable insights for healthcare staff.
- Architect Solutions: Help design and evolve our backend for reliability, performance, and growth.
- Collaborate Deeply: Partner with Product, Ops, and Customer teams to turn user needs into elegant, impactful solutions.
- Maintain Quality: Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code. Support team productivity through code reviews and best practices.
- Think Beyond the Code: Contribute beyond your job description to solve customer challenges and refine team processes.
Youll thrive in this role if you:

- Full-Stack Proficiency: Comfortable across the stack and ideally experienced with:
- Frontend: React, TypeScript, Vite
- Backend: Node.js, NestJS, TypeORM
- Database: PostgreSQL
- Infrastructure: AWS or similar cloud infrastructure
- Builders Mindset: You love turning ideas into software and iterating fast based on feedback, and can balance your own contributions with unblocking others on your team.
- Product Intuition: You think like a user, making tradeoffs that prioritize usability and real-world impact.
- Strong Communicator: You explain complex ideas clearly and collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
Hybrid Environment
We believe a regular cadence of in-person collaboration accelerates learning, reinforces team culture, and drives efficiency for early-stage companies. The role follows a hybrid structure, working two days per week in our Manhattan office.
