Job Description
This role will be based in Mountain View, CA (the posting also notes options in San Francisco or Sunnyvale). The work model is hybrid: work performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by team needs. Core AI incubates and delivers LinkedIn’s most ambitious AI initiatives. The Staff Technical Program Manager (TPM) will drive successful outcomes across high-impact, cross-functional AI initiatives impacting LinkedIn products.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Support multiple cross-functional technical teams to deliver objectives for complex, fast-paced programs and projects
- Develop strong partnerships with engineering and product leaders to drive strategic and tactical program objectives
- Create and drive programs to improve hardware usage across compute, storage, and network
- Drive organization-wide programs to ensure reliability, scalability, and maintainability of the data ecosystem
- Own and manage program and portfolio planning, execution of roadmap, and engineering operations for multiple verticals
- Drive alignment and prioritization across technology initiatives, manage a single consistent roadmap view, and lead communications
- Build strategic relationships with key technology and business leaders to ensure program success
- Lead planning and execution of roadmaps, releases, and work backlogs; identify risks and resolve project conflicts
- Fill gaps across roles and functions as an adaptive problem solver; report status, risks, issues and mitigation plans
- Create a collaborative work environment that fosters transparency, autonomy, innovation and continuous learning; coach and mentor others in modern planning and execution
Basic Qualifications
- B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years professional experience in an engineering or technical team, managing technical programs/projects
- Experience with large scale AI systems and Generative AI
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing company-wide, large scale, high impact programs
- Proven success establishing organization-wide processes and communication frameworks for R&D initiatives
- Direct technical project management experience driving large technical initiatives, including process development and execution
- Knowledge of complex technical ecosystems and adequate technical depth
- Experience managing multiple major, concurrent projects across geographies
- 2+ years hands-on software development experience

Additional Information
LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $139,000 to $229,000. Actual compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate (skill set, experience, certifications, and work location). Total compensation may include annual bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation.
