Job Description
This role is based in Mountain View, CA and is hybrid — performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days. The Product Engineering - Trust and AI Technical Program Management group seeks a Senior Staff Technical Program Manager to drive Trust Engineering and AI initiatives that improve user safety, security, and platform integrity at scale.
The Senior Staff TPM will lead intermediate to large-scale, cross-functional and company-wide programs, collaborating with product and engineering teams across LinkedIn and Microsoft. The role focuses on leveraging advanced AI and machine learning to address trust and safety challenges such as fraud detection, account security, content moderation, and privacy.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive key cross-functional technical AI and engineering initiatives across LinkedIn.
- Influence senior leaders, build strategic relationships, and align stakeholders across functions using technical expertise.
- Develop strong partnerships with engineering and product management leaders and build subject matter expertise.
- Translate ambiguous technical problems into executable plans and drive teams to delivery.
- Balance long-term architectural implications with short-term deliverables.
- Identify risks, resolve project conflicts, and establish resolution paths.
- Continuously improve and scale processes without slowing engineering velocity.
- Create a collaborative work environment that fosters transparency, autonomy, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Apply analytical, objective decision-making and strong written and verbal communication with high emotional intelligence.
- Fill gaps across roles as an adaptive problem solver and coach and mentor team members.
- Apply knowledge of end-to-end agile software development.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- B.S./B.A. degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 9+ years professional experience in an engineering or technical team.
- 7+ years managing technical programs/projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing company-wide, large scale, high-impact technical programs in a lead capacity with multiple TPMs involved.
- Experience working with software engineering leadership, technical teams, and individual contributors.
- Ability to communicate authoritatively with deep technical depth and to learn new concepts and technologies quickly.
- Hands-on software development experience.
- Knowledge of Trust domain, machine learning applications and platforms; Azure experience is a plus.

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $166,000 to $271,000. Total compensation may include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits, and other incentive compensation plans.
