Job Description
This Sr. Staff Technical Program Manager (TPM) role is part of Core AI, which incubates and delivers LinkedIn’s most ambitious AI initiatives. The role will be performed in a hybrid model (both from home and from a LinkedIn office) and the job posting lists Mountain View, CA as the location.
Core responsibilities include driving high-impact, cross-functional AI initiatives from incubation to productization, providing technical program leadership, operational rigor, strategic judgment, and collaborating across engineering and product teams.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive key cross-functional, technical engineering initiatives across organizations.
- Prioritize projects effectively while keeping focus on highest-impact items.
- Turn ambiguous problems into concrete plans and deliver successful results.
- Identify and mitigate risks, proactively remove obstacles, and handle critical issues.
- Develop broad technical knowledge and domain expertise; understand long-term implications of architectural changes.
- Continuously improve and scale processes without slowing engineering teams.
- Influence, empower, build strategic relationships, and align people across diverse functions.
- Maintain a data-driven approach and high standards for quality.
- Coach and mentor other team members and fill gaps across roles as needed.
- Have solid understanding of end-to-end software development.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7+ years professional experience in an engineering or technical team managing technical programs/projects.
- Experience with large-scale AI systems and Generative AI.
- Experience managing company-wide, large scale, high-impact programs.
- Experience leading programs involving multiple TPMs.
- Deep technical understanding of complex ecosystems and software engineering practices.
- Experience managing multiple major concurrent projects across geographies.
- Mastery of Agile methods (Scrum and Kanban) and lifecycle management of large-scale programs.
- Excellent cross-functional communication and planning/collaboration tool experience.

Compensation & Benefits
The posted base pay range for this role is $166,000 to $271,000 per year. Actual compensation is based on factors unique to each candidate (experience, skills, location) and the total compensation package may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other incentives.
