Job Description

This role is based in the Bay Area (Mountain View, CA; Sunnyvale, CA) and the work location is hybrid (combination of home and LinkedIn office days determined by business needs). The Strategic Finance Center of Excellence (COE) centralizes, standardizes, and modernizes key financial operations to unlock scale, accuracy, and strategic capacity across LinkedIn. The Senior Associate will focus on either Marketplace/GTM or Foundations business units, working on OPEX/expense management and headcount workstreams with additional scope over time. The team supports discovery and adoption of new tools and explores automation opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Associate you will take ownership of end-to-end workstreams, identify inefficiencies, implement scalable solutions, and embed finance best practices. Responsibilities include:
  • Act as business process owner for designated financial workstreams, designing and redesigning processes to improve accuracy, reduce manual effort, and enhance end-to-end efficiency.
  • Support strategy development with business partners by identifying growth opportunities within scope.
  • Collaborate with finance and systems teams to define processes, best practices, and drive change management.
  • Use data and insights to develop narratives and presentations to influence stakeholders.
  • Ensure quality assurance of outputs and execution against timelines and SLAs; validate accuracy and completeness prior to delivery.
  • Develop standard workstreams and operational processes; gather stakeholder feedback and synthesize into data-driven recommendations.
  • Access, transform, and synthesize data from cross-platform sources; perform ad hoc analyses to address complex business questions.
  • Contribute to organizational culture, diversity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Business Analytics, Finance, or related field AND minimum 3 years of experience in finance, accounting, management consulting, investment banking, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1+ years experience in the technology industry.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience (FP&A, Finance Ops or related), ideally in process design/redesign for financial operations such as expense and headcount management (e.g., accruals, position management, forecasting).
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel; experience with SQL and data tools (PowerBI, Tableau).
  • Program management experience owning projects end-to-end, effective communication and stakeholder management, proactive problem solving, and strong ownership.
