Job Description

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team. This role can be based in either our San Francisco, Sunnyvale, Bellevue, Chicago, or New York offices.
LinkedIn is searching for a Manager, Strategic Planning & Initiatives who will play a key role in leading and defining future-state business processes and driving transformational initiatives for our LinkedIn Marketing Solutions business. The Manager will leverage their business and people leadership skills, superior communication, relationship building, project management and analytical abilities to lead, execute and scale operational and planning processes that are key to business success.
Candidates must be proactive, collaborative, solution-oriented and comfortable managing multiple cross-functional relationships and projects concurrently. The ideal candidate can effectively communicate with executives and collaborate with a variety of people and job functions, accomplishing tasks of high complexity and scope, and perform professionally in a challenging, ambiguous, and fast-paced environment. We're seeking a leader who can recognize opportunities to drive business growth or improve processes and who can lead a team to bring these ideas to life.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high-performance GTM strategy & operations team.
- Coach the team on big-picture thinking and operational rigor, and mentor them with a focus on skill and career development.
- Deliver on key global processes such as annual planning; designing, building, and optimizing sales territories; forecasting; comp design and quota setting and management.
- Lead strategic and operational projects impacting the Sales and GTM Ops organization, including GTM strategy development, client intelligence, process improvement, and automation.
- Identify and track KPIs to inform leadership of the health of the business.
- Drive operational efficiency through short and long-term process optimization.
- Identify and appropriately escalate risks and recommend options for resolution.
- Develop mitigations and solutions with various stakeholders to ensure successful business outcomes.
- Proactively identify business problem statements and recommend path forward.
- Create strong collaborative partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Act like an owner and have an impact outside of your core functions by demonstrating leadership, providing leverage and producing results that will help effectively scale.
Basic Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in go-to-market/sales/business operations, consulting, investment banking, finance, strategy or analytics.
- 1+ year of people management experience.
- Experience with data analysis/modelling in Excel.
- Knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
- BA/BS degree in business, finance, economics, communications, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of key sales and planning processes, including Territory Planning, Segmentation, Quota allocation, Pipeline and Forecasting, Business Performance Management and Compensation design.
- Experience using SQL.
- Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to structure complex problems, navigate challenging data sets, develop solutions, and craft high-quality executive presentations.
- Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and work within deadlines with little supervision.
- Experience working in high-growth, performance focused environments.
- Excellent collaboration, influence, organizational, and program management skills.
- Ability to define ambiguous problems and drive towards outcomes.
- Ability to think strategically with a proven track record of providing consultative and data driven solutions.
- Ability to work effectively, influence and drive accountability with a broad range of cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills written and verbal, including experience communicating with senior leaders.
- Experience working with CRM, sales and data visualization tools.
- Ability to learn new tools quickly.
- Process and workflow design.
- Experience working in the digital advertising or marketing industry or large-scale tech company.
- AI fluency.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Compensation & Additional Information
LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $126,000 to $204,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
