Job Description

This role is hybrid and will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.
We are looking for an Account Director to join our team as a trusted advisor with a relentless focus on bringing value to our customers within the Mid Market sector. You will be responsible for helping customers effectively engage with our Talent & Learning solutions, advocate for their success, and identify growth opportunities while maintaining integrity and a customer-first mindset.
Responsibilities
The core responsibilities include:
- Research customers’ business and prepare thoughtful questions and insights before meetings
- Ask layered, open-ended questions to uncover objectives and challenges
- Build relationships with multiple stakeholders across the customer organization
- Adapt communication style and content to different stakeholders
- Lead with solutions aligned to customer objectives
- Sell with integrity and drive shared vision to support decision making
- Apply commercial thinking and negotiate fair agreements
- Use data and insights to support recommendations and overcome objections
- Proactively mitigate churn risk and engage customers to confirm value
- Identify opportunities that drive customer growth and optimize ROI
- Practice disciplined territory and account planning, forecasting, and quota attainment
- Follow best practices using CRM and sales tools to manage sales and buyer cycles
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years of relevant applicable sales experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Experience with SaaS opportunities and CRM platforms
- Knowledge of software contract terms and ability to create fair transactions
- Experience carrying a revenue target and developing strategies that deliver results
- Strong communication, negotiation, and forecasting skills
- Ability to gather and use data to inform decisions and persuade others
- Ability to assess business opportunities and understand prospective buyers
- Ability to orchestrate business closures with an accurate understanding of prospect needs
