Verification Engineer (IT Technical) Job Description

Elekta is looking for an experienced Verification Engineer (IT Technical) to design and execute verification test procedures ensuring that the system meets its design specifications, prioritizing safety and effectiveness.
Your role includes:
Domain & Product knowledge:
- Understand Network & Firewall infrastructure, Virtualization environments, Citrix, and Cloud technologies.
- Maintain technical understanding of products across the Linac solution.
- Adapt and learn new products added to the Elekta Medical Linear Accelerator solution.
Contribution to Verification activities:
- Review requirements for testability and develop test procedures.
- Create test procedures and review for adequate test coverage.
- Help identify required regression tests.
- Coordinate with Test Facilities team for equipment and system configuration for verification activities.
- Run approved test procedures, record results in detail.
- Drive issue resolution independently or collaboratively.
- Create clear problem reports with steps to reproduce issues.
- Retest problem reports and failed test runs as necessary.
- Ensure system changes are reverted to a known good baseline.
Project Level Contributions:
- Assist Test Lead in creating Verification Test Plans.
- Report issues or risks to team lead.
Process Compliance and Improvement:
- Conform to company processes and procedures.
- Provide feedback on verification processes and propose improvements.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Excellent PC and networking technical skills.
- Proven troubleshooting talent within all IT aspects.
- ISTQB Tester Foundation Level certification.
Desirable qualifications:
- Awareness of SAFe Agile framework.
- Strong proficiency with MS server/workstation OS, MS SQL Server, Linux OS, Citrix Metaframe/XenApp within domain environments.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Hyper-V architecture and tools.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure platform.
- Knowledge of GUI test automation tools for autonomous software installation deployment.
- MSCE, CCNA, and/or Citrix CCA certification.
Personal qualities:
- Self-motivated and able to interact well with others.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem solving, and presentation skills.
- Excellent written, verbal communication and IT skills.
