Technical Service Engineer (Avellino-Benevento area, Campania region)

The Service Engineer will be responsible for servicing all Elekta products within the area of responsibility. Activities include planned maintenance, emergency corrective maintenance, upgrades, installation work, courtesy calls to local customers and telephone support either from the office in the Business Unit or from a remote location. This is a homebased role in Avellino-Benevento area, Campania region with a requirement to travel throughout the Business Unit and Cluster as required and as directed by their line manager.
What you’ll do at Elekta
You will be part of a motivated global team, joining the Service & Operation team in Italy. The team is currently almost 40 members, with 10 service engineers in the south of Italy. In this diverse role, you will serve customers primarily in your area but be available to travel outside your area.
Responsibilities
- Aware of and able to follow the company’s policies around compliance, environment, data management, and quality systems.
- Capable of using and populating the company’s service systems and databases.
- Independently performing all planned maintenance tasks.
- Independently performing the majority of corrective maintenance tasks.
- Performing more complex fault finding and repair independently.
- Good presentational skills to run local knowledge transfer/service meetings in line with experience.
- Providing on the job coaching as appropriate in line with experience.
- Competent in the use of IntelliMax and QlikSense to proactively monitor and repair systems.
What you bring
- A higher Qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline.
- Competent with relevant IT technology including Windows OS, Microsoft Office applications, networking.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrable drive and commitment to Elekta and the tasks in hand.
- A basic technical and practical competence in Electrical, Electronic and mechanical maintenance.
- Capable to read and understand Electrical schematic diagrams.
- Ability to travel extensively and at short notice in Region Europe.
- Clean Driving Licence.
