What you’ll do at Elekta

The Senior Software Engineer is involved in the development of the product, associated tools, and the continuous integration system.
The Senior Software Engineer will co-operate within their agile team and with other teams in the Neuro program, using the prescribed methods of coding, review, version control system handling, etc. to deliver their work and assist others where necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in all activities of software R&D projects, emphasizing requirement specification, design, implementation, testing, and documentation while following company standards.
  • Write and review TPS code and code for supporting systems and tools.
  • Assist other teams in the Engineering department with TPS-related issues when required.
  • Perform evaluations of technologies, methodologies, and products.
  • Follow technical and clinical evolution within the field.
  • Apply agile principles and practices, following SAFe methodology as a member of a scrum team.
  • Understand and adhere to the Elekta quality system, introducing improvements to its effectiveness.

Authorities:

  • Participate in the definition and system design of products.
  • Decide design solutions and implementation of those solutions.
  • Review code and software-related documents.
  • Review technical product documents.

Relevant knowledge, skills and competencies:

  • Master of Science in Engineering Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Excellent command of English in speech and writing.
  • Configuration management, continuous integration pipelines.
  • Work with C++.
  • Experience in Software Engineering, using version control systems, handling multiple branches in a team-based environment.
