Each of these Business Lines (BL) has a procurement department responsible for strategic procurement and Supplier Development & Quality (SDQ). The BL procurement departments focus on direct materials whilst indirect goods and materials are procured by the Global Indirect procurement team and therefore not a part of this role's scope.
This Procurement Manager role sits within the Brachy and Neuro BL procurement departments. The individual will actively participate in strategic sourcing activities for commodities in their portfolio, aiming to set up strategies that may include supplier consolidation, dual sourcing, or significant cost reductions while maintaining or improving product quality and supplier service levels.
The role involves close collaboration with local key business stakeholders for developing sustainable sourcing strategies and implementation plans. It also involves working together with international colleagues of other Elekta entities regarding the P2P process and projects aimed at aligning or improving global processes, systems, and templates.
Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of local sourcing strategies for allocated commodities considering stakeholder mapping, spend analysis, current and future demands, supplier improvement, and cost reduction opportunities.
Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management
- Define and implement sourcing strategies including supplier selection, consolidation, and dual sourcing in line with Elekta’s sourcing process. Provide quotation analysis documentation and sourcing recommendations.
- Lead supplier negotiations, ensure appropriate contract terms, collaborate with Legal where necessary.
- Monitor supplier performance on cost, quality, delivery, and compliance; implement improvement plans and conduct regular business reviews.
- Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation plans to secure business continuity.
Process & Value Optimization
- Plan and execute sourcing events driven by product development, contract expirations, or business needs.
- Maintain procurement system data integrity and keep the Approved Supplier List (ASL) accurate and up to date.
- Support global alignment by contributing to cross-functional procurement projects, tools, and templates.
- Encourage open book costing and competitive tendering.
- Drive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) reduction through value engineering, supplier consolidation, and open-book costing.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Compliance
- Partner with local and international stakeholders to implement sourcing strategies, quality improvements, and efficiency gains.
- Represent procurement in product core teams, supporting early supplier involvement in product development and maintenance.
- Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and Elekta’s code of ethics, promoting a values-driven procurement culture.
What you bring
To be successful, candidates should have:
- A university degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and work experience with technical products.
- Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) certification desirable.
- 5–10 years of experience in an international production and supply setting, focusing on purchasing and contracting for direct materials, ideally within a regulated industry with high technical product complexity.
- Professional proficiency in Dutch and English.
- Experience managing supplier quality and driving supplier development initiatives.
- Strong understanding of sourcing strategy development and financial principles (e.g., TCO, NPV, cost-price analysis) with the ability to build business cases.
- Proficiency with procurement and quality systems (e.g., Coupa, ERP, QMS, iCertis) and knowledge of the Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process.
- Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Qlik Sense).
- Excellent negotiation skills and experience managing suppliers and stakeholders across different seniority levels and geographies.
- Experience in contract management and understanding of contractual law.
- Strong planning and organizational skills with a track record of managing competing priorities and delivering on ambitious targets.

The position may require up to 10% international travel.
