Field Service Engineer – UK South

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for the installation and servicing of all Elekta products within the UK, with a primary focus on MR-Linac systems. This is a home-based role requiring travel throughout the UK as directed by the Regional Service Manager.
What you’ll do at Elekta
Join a driven global team in the UK Service Team of ten members. Work with diverse skills including fault finding complex electronic systems down to component level and adjusting the radiation beam to meet required specs.
Responsibilities
- Perform planned maintenance, emergency corrective maintenance, upgrades, installation work, courtesy calls to local customers, and telephone support from office or remote locations.
- Work following Elekta’s safety instructions and procedures.
- Report issues or problems affecting Elekta, product reliability, or personnel safety to the Service Manager promptly.
- Provide feedback on problems, solutions, or opportunities to the Service Manager for communication to other parties.
- Perform corrective maintenance independently within timescales, escalating problems if required, maintaining problem ownership until customer satisfaction.
- Install all systems in the product portfolio to required specifications and project timelines without supervision.
What you bring
- Minimum HNC or equivalent in a related engineering discipline.
- Completion of all relevant Elekta technical training up to 3rd line.
- Competent with relevant IT technology including Windows OS, Microsoft Office applications, and networking.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in a service environment.
- Demonstrable drive and commitment to Elekta and tasks in hand.
- Clean Driving Licence.
