Job Description
Elekta manufactures and sells medical devices for radiation therapy and neurosurgery such as linear accelerators and the Leksell Gamma Knife®. Additionally, Elekta markets devices for brachytherapy and provides the necessary software for all solutions (treatment planning, verification systems, control and calibration software).
To strengthen our team in the Greater Feldkirch area, we are looking for a person for the position:
Service Engineer Radiation Therapy (m/f/d)
The Service Engineer is the central contact person for our customer in Feldkirch for service-related issues in all product areas. He/she is responsible for the independent and timely planning and execution of installation, maintenance, and repair work on hardware and software systems according to the given guidelines and technical documentation. This is done through telephone advice, remote maintenance, and on-site customer visits. Through his/her technical qualification and behavior, he/she ensures professional, efficient, and economical service that contributes to high customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Central contact person for our customer in Feldkirch for service-related topics in all product areas
- Independent, proactive work through digital support and monitoring of assigned systems
- Troubleshooting technical problems with radiation therapy devices via telephone consultation, remote maintenance, or on-site customer visits
- Independent planning and execution of installation, maintenance, and repair work within the assigned product area and territory
- Systematic, targeted planning of work steps considering overarching system contexts
- Willingness to travel to other locations as required by business activities
- Continuous information exchange with service and sales management on current topics or problems that may affect customer satisfaction
- Active promotion of customer satisfaction through professional, sales-promoting conduct and behavior
- Compliance with applicable regulations during work execution (e.g., Radiation Protection Act, Medical Devices Act, IEC, UVV)
- Documentation of support activities in accordance with Elekta's guidelines and procedures
- Internal dissemination of information to improve the quality of installed systems
Qualifications
- Solid technical education (technical school, HTL, FH, or equivalent) in medical technology, electrical engineering, or related fields
- Good knowledge in IT/network technology
- Ideally experience in medical imaging, linear accelerators, and/or clinical application of radiation therapy products
- Desirable knowledge in dosimetry
- Very good German skills and good English skills in spoken and written form
- Strong analytical abilities with excellent sensitivity to dynamically changing situations and priorities
- Interest and curiosity to acquire knowledge independently
- Strong communication skills and great enjoyment in contact with people
- High degree of self-organization, teamwork, and personal responsibility
- Exceptional self-motivation and flexibility
- High willingness to travel and a valid driver's license class B
