Field Service Engineer

Elekta is seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team in Poland. This home-based role involves servicing all Elekta products across the country. The successful candidate will work independently, traveling to customer sites to perform maintenance, installations, and support, with escalation to the Service Director as needed.

This is a hybrid role with a requirement to travel throughout Poland as required and as directed by the Regional Service Manager.


Responsibilities

  • Perform planned maintenance, emergency corrective maintenance, upgrades, and installation work.
  • Provide courtesy calls and telephone support from office or remote locations.
  • Travel throughout Poland and occasionally internationally; jobs may require overnight stays.
  • Fault find and repair complex electronic systems down to component level.
  • Work with HT and RF power generation, vacuum systems, water systems, pressurized gas systems, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Adjust radiation beams to meet output specifications.
  • Adhere to Elekta’s safety instructions and procedures.
  • Report on issues affecting product reliability or personnel safety to the Service Manager.
  • Participate in training and assessments both in classrooms and on-site.
  • Guide and assess other engineers and advise the Service Manager.
  • Complete and submit relevant reports and documentation post-service.

Requirements

  • Minimum technical college or university degree in a related engineering discipline or equivalent.
  • Competent in IT technologies including Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and networking.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in a Medical Device service environment; experience with linear accelerators or brachytherapy systems is an advantage.
  • Proven ability to manage tasks independently.
  • Demonstrable commitment to Elekta and assigned tasks.
  • Valid Driving Licence.
  • Proficiency in English & Polish (written and spoken).
