Position Summary:
Join our mission to infuse cutting-edge AI/ML/GenAI into healthcare as a Senior Applied AI/ML Scientist. This role focuses on developing Large Language Models (LLMs) to advance AI-based automation for Healthcare. You will develop and improve multimodal LLMs to build Conversational AI products for increased productivity and exceptional customer experiences.
The ideal candidate should be passionate about applying AI/ML to complex problems and developing scalable, customized solutions. Responsibilities:
- Investigate latest LLM and MLM models for accuracy and efficiency in healthcare use cases.
- Develop data pipelines for ML training and customization.
- Fine-tune LLMs for the healthcare domain.
- Develop and productionize ML solutions in document understanding, search, QnA, GenAI, Virtual Agents, etc.
- Manage the complete lifecycle of ML model development from problem definition to deployment.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and quality assurance.
- Troubleshoot AI model, integration, deployment, and backend service issues.
- Document research processes and architectural decisions.
- Ensure security and compliance of healthcare data per HIPAA regulations.
- Adhere to the Capital Rx Code of Conduct including reporting noncompliance.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field.
- Minimum 4 years industry experience focusing on applied AI/ML research and development.
- Strong knowledge of OOP, Design Patterns, algorithms, and quality software development.
- Understanding of ML fundamentals including Deep Neural Networks, Transformer-based LLMs and MLMs, decision trees, RAG, etc.
- Proficiency in Python and ML libraries such as PyTorch.
- Experience training and fine-tuning autoregressive language models like LLaMA, GPT-x, Mistral.
- Experience with open-source LLM platforms and training stacks (HuggingFace, Deepspeed).
- Experience with ML platforms such as AWS Sagemaker, Azure ML, Databricks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strong logical thinking.
- Passion for customer service, innovation, and product quality.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Good written communication skills for remote collaboration.
- Experience in healthcare or life sciences is a plus.
Salary Range: $150,000 - $190,000 USD
