About the team

The Platform team at Capital Rx is made up of passionate, motivated, and driven individuals who are experts in technologies and problem solvers, delivering high-quality work and fostering collaboration. They own the architecture, framework & standards, infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines for the Judi® platform. The team also manages the production environment with monitoring, alerting, and on-call practices.

Position Summary

The Platform Developer will build, scale, and maintain robust and secure infrastructure for a mission-critical platform, enabling development teams to deliver features faster and more reliably. The role champions infrastructure-as-code principles, platform scalability, automation, and ensures high standards of scalability, performance, and security.

Position Responsibilities

  • Develop and support highly available, scalable, and secure platform & infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain automation pipelines for CI/CD and infrastructure provisioning tools like GoCD, Harness, and Terraform
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-tested Python code for automation, tooling, and service development
  • Manage and optimize databases such as PostgreSQL, Redshift, and Redis for performance, reliability, and data integrity
  • Administer and fine-tune container orchestration platforms like EKS and ECS
  • Implement and manage serverless architectures using AWS Lambda
  • Collaborate with development teams to align infrastructure with application requirements
  • Define and enforce security best practices including HIPAA, FISMA, SOC II, and FedRAMP compliance
  • Monitor system performance and implement proactive solutions for scalability
  • Participate in on-call rotations for operational support and incident response
  • Adopt Agile/Scrum methodologies in sprint planning and retrospectives
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools
  • Develop internal tooling and automation scripts with Python and SQL
  • Implement observability best practices for SaaS services

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience as a Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Site Reliability Engineer
  • Strong expertise in AWS infrastructure and services (EC2, Lambda, ECS, EKS, RDS, S3, VPC, CloudWatch, SQS, SNS, IAM, Kinesis)
  • Proficiency with Terraform, Python, SQL, and automation tooling
  • Experience with Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS)
  • Hands-on SQL database administration experience (PostgreSQL preferred) and performance tuning
  • Experience with CI/CD systems (GoCD, GitHub Actions, Harness)
  • Experience in automating observability and monitoring (Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus) and incident response
  • Experience with compliance standards like FISMA, SOC 2, and FedRAMP
  • Background in building scalable, high-performance SaaS platforms
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with production on-call rotations and alert response
