Revenue Cycle Specialist
JotPsych makes software for behavioral health clinicians. We're building JotBill (billing) and JotCred (credentialing) to modernize revenue cycle management for psychiatry and behavioral health. We're hiring Revenue Cycle Specialists in Latin America to manage billing and credentialing end-to-end for assigned provider customers.
The role
You will own two core functions for behavioral health customers: billing and credentialing. You will work inside JotCred, our credentialing platform, to focus on execution and follow-through.
- Billing: submit clean claims, work denials, post payments, reconcile ERA/EFT, verify eligibility and benefits, ensure correct CPTs/modifiers/diagnoses/place of service, and drive collections.
- Credentialing: onboard providers, manage CAQH ProView profiles and attestation, submit payer enrollments (commercial payers, PECOS for Medicare, state Medicaid), set up EFT/ERA, perform primary source verifications, and monitor document expirations.
- Follow-up & escalation: execute systematic 14-day follow-up cycles, escalate stalled applications through a defined ladder, and document every payer interaction.
Who you probably are
You have deep, hands-on experience working with US payer portals and the full claim lifecycle for behavioral health, including psychiatric NPs and psychiatrists.
- 10+ years of US medical billing and/or credentialing experience with direct exposure to behavioral health and psychiatry.
- Experienced with Availity, CAQH ProView, PECOS, state Medicaid portals, and commercial payer sites.
- Strong working knowledge of psychiatric CPT codes (90791, 90792, 99212–99215, 90832, 90834, 90837, 90833, 90836, 90838).
- Proven ability to work denials to resolution: research root causes, write appeals, and follow through.
- Ability to manage 60–90+ concurrent credentialing tracks without missing follow-ups.
- Fluent English (spoken and written) and able to provide 4+ hours daily overlap with US Eastern Time.
Nice to have
- Experience credentialing from scratch (not only re-credentialing).
- Familiarity with Notion, Slack, and modern SaaS tools.
- Prior remote experience working for US healthcare companies.
Logistics
- Fully remote, open to candidates anywhere in Latin America (Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, others).
- Contract role: $2,000 to $3,500 USD/month, 30–40 hours/week.
- Requires reliable internet and a quiet workspace for payer phone calls.
- 4+ hours daily overlap with US Eastern Time required.
- Path to full-time conversion based on performance and mutual fit.
