We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Group Manager to join our growing R&D organization in Tel Aviv. In this role, you will lead and scale a group of teams responsible for the core of Hyro’s AI Voice product. A key focus of this role is to drive the growth of the product offering, executing quickly, innovating, and continuously improving the existing product to ensure it remains production-grade, scalable, and reliable AI. You will play a key role in shaping and executing our technical vision, driving the evolution of our conversational AI and voice solutions, and building a strong, high-performing engineering organization while working closely with the product team. This role reports to the CPTO.
Responsibilities
Lead, scale, and mentor an engineering group of 15–20 engineers, delivering complex, AI-driven products at scale.
Manage Team Leads and partner closely with the CTO to translate technical vision into execution and ensure strong alignment across teams.
Collaborate deeply with Product Managers to define and execute the roadmap for Hyro’s Voice core product.
Drive continuous improvement of R&D processes, structure, and engineering culture to support rapid growth and high-throughput environments.
Foster technical excellence, mentor future leaders, and build a strong leadership pipeline within Hyro.
Own cross-functional collaboration, ensuring strong synchronization between your group and other departments across the company.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Engineering, and at least 2 years as a Group Manager or similar role.
- Proven track record of managing at scale in high-growth companies.
- Deep technical rooting with the ability to lead architecture reviews and stay close to the technology.
- Experience designing and operating large systems with an emphasis on scalability, high availability, and performance.
- Strong familiarity with Python, Node.js, and cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Experience designing, building, and operating large systems with emphasis on scalability, high availability, comprehensive testing, and performance optimization.
- Experience building virtual assistants or SaaS products - an advantage.
- Familiar/experienced with AI agents - an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with proficient English.
