We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Group Manager to join our growing R&D organization in Tel Aviv. You will lead and scale a group of teams responsible for the core of Hyro’s AI products, drive product growth, execute quickly, innovate, and continuously improve production-ready, scalable, and reliable AI. This role reports to the CPTO.
Responsibilities
- Lead, scale, and mentor an engineering group of 15–20 engineers, delivering complex, AI-driven products at scale.
- Manage Team Leads and partner closely with the CTO to translate technical vision into execution and ensure strong alignment across teams.
- Collaborate deeply with Product Managers to define and execute the roadmap for Hyro’s core product.
- Drive continuous improvement of R&D processes, structure, and engineering culture to support rapid growth and high-throughput environments.
- Foster technical excellence, mentor future leaders, and build a strong leadership pipeline within Hyro.
- Own cross-functional collaboration, ensuring strong synchronization between your group and other departments across the company.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Engineering, and at least 2 years as a Group Manager or similar role.
- Proven track record of managing at scale in high-growth companies.
- Deep technical grounding with the ability to lead architecture reviews and stay close to the technology without necessarily coding daily.
- Experience designing and operating large systems with an emphasis on scalability, high availability, and performance.
- Strong familiarity with Python, Node.js, and cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Experience designing, building, and operating large systems with emphasis on scalability, high availability, comprehensive testing, and performance optimization.
- Experience building virtual assistants or SaaS products - advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with proficient English.
