Overview

We are seeking a Head of Pharmacovigilance Sciences to provide strategic leadership in global pharmacovigilance and safety science operations. In this role, you will establish the safety strategy for a diverse product portfolio, drive innovation in safety methodologies, and ensure compliance with global regulatory standards.

Primary Responsibilities

The successful candidate will serve as a senior individual contributor, partnering with senior executives to integrate safety considerations into the broader business strategy, while also driving detailed execution. Over time, there may be opportunities to lead and mentor safety professionals as the function grows.

Skills & Requirements

  • Advanced medical or scientific degree (e.g., MD, PhD, or equivalent).
  • Expertise in global pharmacovigilance regulations and benefit-risk frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical development, regulatory affairs, and medical affairs.
  • Proven ability to lead safety strategies through product approvals and post-marketing phases.
  • Exceptional leadership, team-building, and organizational development skills.
  • Strategic vision with the ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills at executive and board levels.
  • Experience with advanced safety data analysis and interpretation methods.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive safety strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Drive innovation in pharmacovigilance through advanced analytics and real-world evidence.
  • Lead global safety governance frameworks and decision-making processes.
  • Represent safety interests at the executive level, influencing corporate strategy.
  • Serve as the principal safety expert in regulatory interactions and negotiations.
  • Oversee safety-related submissions, inspections, and communications with regulatory authorities.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing team of safety professionals.
