We value in-person teamwork and believe the best ideas happen together. Our team is expected to be in the office five days a week in Palo Alto, CA unless explicitly noted otherwise in the job description.

About the Role

We’re looking for a creative and detail oriented Audio Curator to help transform long-form audio content into compelling short-form highlight reels. You’ll be the ear behind identifying key moments, curating standout clips, and crafting engaging audio experiences that resonate with audiences across platforms.
This role is ideal for someone with editorial instincts, a knack for storytelling, and advanced skill set in audio editing tools. It may come in the form of an insightful quote, an emotional exchange, or a funny moment, you know what to surface and how to shape it.
This position is a contract hourly opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze audio content to identify key soundbites and moments worth highlighting.
  • Curate and organize audio clips into thematic highlight reels or narrative arcs for internal or public-facing use.
  • Edit audio content for clarity, pacing, and engagement using tools.
  • Collaborate with other team members to align on content themes, goals, and formats.
  • Maintain a tagged, searchable content library.
  • Suggest creative ideas for repurposing content across different channels (e.g., short-form video, social audio, presentations).

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in podcast production, audio journalism, content editing, or social media content creation.
  • Demonstrated ability to craft engaging narratives from raw audio content.
  • Experience working on branded or editorial content with tight deadlines and fast feedback loops.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Media Production, Communications, Audio Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in audio editing and content curation ideally with podcasts, social media, executive presentations.
  • Strong editorial sense and an ability to identify compelling moments that align with tone and messaging goals.
  • Advance proficiency in audio editing tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, especially with timestamps and metadata.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and iterate on feedback.
  • Bonus: Experience with video editing tools or an understanding of short-form social media formats.
