Psychologist Online Coaching - French-speaking

Starting salary (full time reference): €50,000 + VSOP (5% of annual fixed salary)

Role

HelloBetter is a pioneer in digital healthcare. For more than 10 years we have developed evidence-based digital health applications for prevention and treatment of mental health problems such as stress management, depression, problematic alcohol use, panic disorders and anxiety, vaginismus and sleep disorders. Six out of ten of our programs are approved as digital health applications and are available on prescription in Germany. HelloBetter launched in France in 2025, initially with our sleep program.
We are looking for psychologists (M.Sc., Dipl.-Psych.), licensed or in advanced psychotherapeutic training, to join our French-speaking team (20–25 h/week) who share our enthusiasm for transforming psychotherapeutic care.

Responsibilities

  • Written online coaching (core task): Provide written, structured coaching in our digital programs in French, especially for HelloBetter Sleep.
  • Service support: Respond to technical and organizational inquiries by phone and email; escalate complex issues to the tech team; provide patient feedback to product and service teams.
  • Study coaching: Carry out coaching tasks as part of scientific evaluation studies.
  • Business development: Possibly represent our products in demos for companies and insurers as we grow.

Profile

Must haves:
  • Licensure or advanced training (completed practical training parts 1 and 2) as a psychological psychotherapist (focus on CBT, psychodynamic therapy or systemic therapy)
  • Initial relevant clinical experience treating patients with diverse disorders
  • French at native level and fluent English
  • Quick comprehension and ability to work independently
  • Open attitude toward technology
  • Willingness to work flexible hours distributed over 5 weekdays
Nice to haves:
  • Experience in e-mental health (online counseling / coaching)
  • Fluent German

In more than 30 randomized controlled trials and in collaboration with universities including Leuphana, Friedrich-Alexander, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and Harvard, HelloBetter has developed and evaluated 10 online programs across eight problem areas. Six programs have been approved by the German Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM) as digital health applications and are available on prescription for insured adults in Germany. The company is based in Berlin and Hamburg and employs more than 130 people.
