Your Role

HelloBetter is a pioneer in digital healthcare. For more than 10 years, we have been developing evidence-based digital health applications for the prevention and treatment of mental health issues. Our applications cover various areas including stress management, depression, problematic alcohol consumption, panic disorders and anxiety, vaginismus, and sleep disorders.
Currently, six out of ten HelloBetter applications are approved as digital health applications. They are available free on prescription for all adult insured persons.
In your role as (Junior) Patient Support Manager, you use your communication skills and psychological expertise to ensure a positive start for our patients. Your task is to present even complex information understandably and mainly communicate it to our patients by phone.

Your Tasks

  • Phone contact with interested patients to participate in our online therapy programs
  • Explain the process and functioning of our therapy programs
  • Conduct a needs analysis to assess the suitability of our programs for the individual needs of patients
  • Answer questions and concerns of potential patients related to our offers
  • Explain the process for prescribing the programs and assist with registration
  • Support our registered patients with organizational or technical concerns during their participation

Your Profile

Must Haves
  • Completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology
  • Empathy and patience in communication with patients
  • Independent, proactive, and organized working style
  • Interest in the digitalization of healthcare
  • Good technical understanding and willingness to learn various support and CRM tools (e.g., Zendesk, Jira)
  • Native-level German language skills in speaking and writing and fluent English as corporate language
Nice to Haves
  • Good knowledge of the German healthcare system
  • Experience with digital care services (e.g., digital health applications)
  • First practical experience in clinical psychology

Interview Process

30 minutes: Initial conversation with our People Team
60 minutes: Interview with the Patient Support Lead and an additional 60 minutes for a written task

About Us

HelloBetter was founded in 2015 under the name GET.ON Institute for Online Health Training GmbH by internationally recognized researchers and psychologists. In more than 30 randomized controlled studies, HelloBetter has developed and evaluated 10 online programs in cooperation with Leuphana University, Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg, Free University Amsterdam, Harvard University, and other partners. These programs cover eight specific problem areas for both prevention and treatment of classical mental illnesses such as depression, anxiety, or panic disorders, as well as topics like vaginismus or chronic pain. HelloBetter has the broadest study base among all providers.

Six therapy programs from HelloBetter have been approved by the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM) as digital health applications and are available free on prescription for all insured adults. The work of the expert team has been published in international journals (including The Journal of the American Medical Association) and recognized with various awards (Wilhelm Exner Prize in Psychology 2016, EFPA Comenius Prize 2017, Digital Health Award 2018, EU Compass Good Practice 2018 in Mental Health).

The company has offices in Berlin and Hamburg and employs more than 130 employees.
