Territory Account Manager

Job Description

Heartflow is a medical technology company advancing the diagnosis and management of coronary artery disease using cutting-edge technology. Their flagship product is an AI-driven, non-invasive cardiac test called the Heartflow FFRCT Analysis that creates a 3D model of coronary arteries to show blood flow impact due to blockages. Heartflow's solutions help clinicians identify stenoses, assess blood flow, and quantify atherosclerosis.
Heartflow is a publicly traded company (HTFL), recognized internationally for healthcare innovation, supported by medical societies worldwide, and cleared for use in the US, UK, Europe, Japan, and Canada, with more than 400,000 patients served.
The Territory Account Manager (TAM) is the face of Heartflow in a specific region, responsible for driving adoption of Heartflow's cardiovascular diagnostic technology through referring physicians. This customer-facing role focuses on supporting customers including cardiologists, primary care physicians, and nurse practitioners, with about 20-25% travel from a home office.

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive growth and adoption of a cCTA and FFRct clinical pathway in key strategic accounts by developing and executing business plans with stakeholders.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration within Heartflow, including organizing programs and visits.
  • Increase Heartflow usage by maintaining relationships with referring physicians and educating customers on Heartflow's value.
  • Meet or exceed quotas for strategic accounts and grow cCTA and FFRct case volumes.

Skills Needed

  • Proven sales skills and track record.
  • Experience building and supporting clinical programs preferred.
  • Quick learner of clinical/technical information and ability to disseminate to customers.
  • Relationship development with key account stakeholders.
  • Cross-functional teamwork to support sales, marketing, education, and training.
  • Customer-focused mentality and ability to explain medical technologies.
  • Knowledge of cardiac pathways and diagnostic tech preferred.
  • Self-motivated and strong work ethic.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM.

Educational Requirements & Work Experience

  • 4-year degree with 5+ years related sales or clinical experience, or 2-year degree with 7+ years related experience.
  • Preferred degree in Science, Medical, Business, Marketing or Technical field.
  • Prior experience in medical device, cardiology pharmaceuticals, or medical software highly desired.
  • Experience introducing new cardiovascular technologies into hospitals highly desired.

Compensation

Base salary range: $125,000 - $140,000 based on location and experience. Total target compensation with commission: $200,000 - $215,000.
Approximately 20-25% travel expected.
