Job Description
The Territory Account Manager (TAM) will represent Heartflow within a specific geographic region, working with customers to ensure successful adoption of Heartflows non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostic technology. The TAM is responsible for driving adoption through the network of referring physicians, supporting, educating, and providing solutions to build high customer satisfaction. This is a customer-facing role focused on interactions with Cardiologists, Primary Care Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and others, requiring approximately 20-25% travel from a home office.
Responsibilities
- Work with key strategic Heartflow accounts to drive growth and adoption of a cCTA and FFRct clinical pathway by developing and executing business development plans with key stakeholders.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration within the organization, including leadership, physician mentors, marketing, market access, CT Apps, product development, and clinical teams.
- Increase Heartflow usage within designated key strategic accounts by maintaining and building relationships with referring physicians and clinical stakeholders, educating customers on Heartflow's value proposition through presentations and discussions, and promoting advocacy for Heartflow.
- Meet or exceed performance metrics, including quota achievement in strategic accounts, cCTA growth, and FFRct penetration/case growth.
Skills Needed
- Proven sales skills and track record of sales achievement.
- Experience in account development and supporting strong clinical programs preferred.
- Clinical and technical proficiency, with quick learning ability to grasp and disseminate clinical/technical information.
- Ability to develop relationships with key account stakeholders including admins, cardiologists, referring physician practices, marketing personnel, and strategic staff.
- Capacity to work cross-functionally to coordinate resources supporting customers and executing program development plans.
- Customer-focused mentality and ability to explain medical technologies to referring physicians and healthcare professionals.
- Knowledge of cardiac patient pathways and diagnostic technology preferred.
- Self-motivated, organized, with strong problem-solving skills and an excellent work ethic.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills, including experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM.
Education and Experience
- 4-year degree with 5+ years of sales or clinical experience, or 2-year degree with 7+ years related experience.
- Preferred degree fields include Science, Medical, Business, Marketing, or Technical.
- Highly desired prior experience in medical devices, cardiology pharmaceuticals or radio-pharmaceuticals, hospitals, or medical software.
- Experience introducing new cardiovascular technologies into hospitals is preferred.
Compensation
Base compensation range: $125,000 - $140,000 depending on location and experience. Eligible for variable/commission with total target compensation of $200,000 - $215,000.
