The Commercial Operations Contract Analyst will support the scaling of the commercial organization and commercialization efforts in the US, UK, Europe, and Japan by driving revenue and increasing commercial productivity and efficiency through planning, forecasting, reporting, strategy, process optimization, program implementation, and compensation design and administration.

Job Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and redline a variety of contractual instruments from simple to moderate complexity.
  • Analyze contract requirements, provisions, and terms to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Draft clear, concise, and non-ambiguous contractual language and manage the contract redlining process using track changes and comments.
  • Collaborate with sales and business teams to provide contractual guidance ensuring terms align with company and business objectives.
  • Monitor compliance issues and ensure terms are executable by the company, consulting internal departments as needed.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and communication skills for negotiation and collaboration internally and externally.
  • Maintain clean version control throughout the negotiation process.

Skills Needed

  • Experience in data analysis and ability to drive insights and decision-making with strong quantitative skills.
  • Legal knowledge ranging from basic to expert in contracting concepts including the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) and relevant international or public contract law.
  • Comfortable presenting to executives and solving complex business challenges.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with business acumen.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
  • Attention to detail with strong quality control.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to drive projects independently.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Educational Requirements & Work Experience

  • Paralegal certification, bachelor’s degree, or Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.
  • Minimum 5 years total work experience, preferably 2+ years in contracts management.
  • Experience with contract review, redlining, and drafting.
  • Experience in fast-growing healthcare or technology companies preferred.

Additional Details

This is a full-time hybrid role based in San Francisco, CA or Santa Rosa, CA offices, requiring presence 3 days a week and up to 25% travel. The position offers salary, bonus potential, and generous benefits.
