The Chief of Staff acts as a strategic partner to the CEO, crucial in driving key strategic initiatives, optimizing organizational effectiveness, and ensuring seamless execution. This visible individual contributor role involves significant interaction with the Executive Leadership Team.
Skills/Qualities Required

Experience/Education
- Strong undergraduate degree; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred but not required.
- 3-6 years of experience in high-performance environments like management consulting, investment banking, equity research, or high-growth healthcare/technology companies; Chief of Staff experience desirable but not required.
- Deep healthcare industry experience, particularly with medical device, pharma, or AI technology companies, is a significant plus.
Job Responsibilities
Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and Board of Directors Engagement:
- Design and manage ELT operating mechanisms for strategy alignment, execution monitoring, and removing roadblocks.
- Own preparation and coordination of Board materials, including agendas, presentations, and follow-ups.
- Prepare the CEO for critical external engagements such as investor presentations and earnings calls.
Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Facilitate strategic planning with the CEO and ELT, translating objectives into company-wide goals.
- Monitor execution of key initiatives and provide updates to the CEO and leadership team.
- Identify and solve cross-functional business issues not confined to a single department.
Strategic Partnerships:
- Manage identification and cultivation of key strategic partnerships aligned with priorities.
- Partner with Business Development, Product, and Clinical teams for collaborations with technology companies, pharma, payers, and health systems.
Special Projects & Analysis:
- Lead ad hoc projects and analyses for the CEO, including competitive intelligence, market entry, and business models.
- Conduct deep dives into metrics and data to provide simplified insights and recommendations.
Communication & Culture:
- Serve as liaison between CEO and organization to communicate priorities clearly.
- Act as trusted advisor to CEO and leadership team.
- Help foster positive company culture aligned with mission and values.
Estimated base salary range: $200,000 to $250,000, plus cash bonus and equity.
