Headspace is seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join its growing B2B Org. Our org builds and maintains eligibility systems and enrollment experiences for enterprise & SME customers and partnership integrations for strategic partnerships. This role is in the partnerships team, focusing on prototyping, architecting, and executing the creation of our enterprise platform, contributing to B2B growth. Knowledge sharing and learning are encouraged with frequent mini-tech talks.

Location: Hiring in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York City (remote), and Seattle (remote) with a requirement for permanent U.S. residence. SF and LA candidates follow a hybrid model working 3 days per week in the office.

Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems. Write well-designed, testable, performant, and efficient code. Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle from product collaboration, writing tech specs & RFCs, to feature release and operations. Build APIs and workflows mainly in Python. Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility. Work with product and engineering teams to release high-scale services.

4+ years of software development experience in building APIs and microservices. Experience defining, designing, and shipping features in a remote environment. Familiarity with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing and CI/CD systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated, able to work autonomously or collaboratively with cross-functional teams, product managers, designers, stakeholders, and engineers. Comfortable with vague requirements and making technical decisions or trade-offs.

BS/MS degree in Computer Science with 5+ years of software engineering experience. Experience in Python and Django development. Experience building scalable backend systems with observability. Strong understanding of database management and object-oriented programming.

Experience with Node.js and Typescript is a plus.

The anticipated base salary range is $122,400 to $195,500 for this full-time position, plus equity and benefits. Salary ranges vary by job, level, and location within the U.S. Compensation depends on location, relevant experience, skills, and education.
