About the Remote Licensed Therapist (1099 Contractor) role at Headspace:

Headspace is currently seeking part-time, independently licensed contractor therapists to provide direct, virtual care as part of a multidisciplinary team. Applications are accepted from providers licensed in Colorado.

Contractor therapists should offer a minimum of 5 sessions per week with flexibility for more based on schedule. Achieving a consistent schedule may take weeks due to demand and member scheduling.

The pay rate starts at $75-$80 per session in Colorado, varying by state and determined by factors like location, licensure, experience, and specializations. Sessions are 60 minutes for intake and 45 minutes for follow-up with concurrent note-taking included in the rate.

Therapists must be licensed and reside in the US. All work must be provided within the 50 US states, excluding territories.

What you will do:

• Provide high-quality tele-therapy via a HIPAA-compliant video conferencing platform
• Complete clinical case notes in EMR within 48 hours; note completion is part of the session rate
• Maintain personalized licensure and availability records
• Keep availability calendar updated
• Communicate regularly with clinical leadership responding within 24 hours
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including health coaches, therapists, psychiatrists, and external providers

What you will bring:

• Available for at least 5 sessions per week, with flexibility for more
• Night and weekend flexibility is a plus
• Competence in evidence-based practices like CBT, DBT, ACT, Mindfulness, and measurement-based care
• Commitment to culturally responsive care
• Ability to deliver concurrent documentation included in session rate
• Comfort with technology tools including EMR, video conferencing, and Google web-apps
• Secure location with reliable internet for Zoom sessions
• Effective communication and interdisciplinary teamwork skills
• 3+ years psychotherapy experience with individuals, couples, or families
• Experience with risk management and higher acuity cases
• Licensed as LCSW, LICSW, LMFT, LMHC, LCPC, LPCC, or LPC independently without supervision
• BC-TMH credential if required by state

Preferred (If applicable):

• Licensure in multiple states valued
• Licensed psychologist willing or enrolled with PSYPACT
• Adolescent or Spanish specialty
• Familiarity with Headspace app and content
• Willingness to offer evening hours for member care flexibility
