For the development of our care platform, we are seeking an experienced Senior Fullstack Developer to join our remote team long-term and actively shape the development process. You will work on the architecture, development, and scaling of the platform, ensuring its technical excellence, maintainability, and minimizing technical debt. You bring profound knowledge in modern software development and architecture, understand product requirements, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. Your interest in healthcare and its digitalization potential helps you consider regulatory and security-related requirements. With your knowledge, you support the team, foster a solution-oriented engineering culture, and continuously optimize the development process.
Responsibilities
- Requirements Engineering: Analysis and coordination with stakeholders and creation of technical concepts
- Architecture & Design: Participate in software architecture decisions, design documents, and product improvements
- Clean Code: Develop maintainable, secure, and high-performance software focusing on simplicity and long-term maintainability (PHP8, Laravel, Vue.js, MySQL)
- Optimization & Debugging: Analyze and troubleshoot to ensure smooth operation
- Quality Assurance: Ensure high test coverage and reliability and continuously maintain unit and E2E tests
- Mentoring: Support and professional development of junior developers
Profile
- Proven experience in software development and demonstrated experience in complex software projects
- Solid knowledge of basics such as HTTP, REST, Docker, CI, OOP, SOLID, Unix, Scrum, AI assistants like Copilot
- Database knowledge: Confident handling of SQL and relational databases
- Frontend skills: Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, especially Vue.js, is an advantage
- Technical judgment: Ability to discuss impacts of premature optimization, strong coupling, and unnecessary abstractions
- Remote capability: Independent and structured working style in a distributed, interdisciplinary team
- Language skills: Fluent in German and English
- Experience: At least 5 years of relevant professional experience
- Education: Degree in computer science, software engineering, or a comparable field
