At Fortune Media, we are reinventing how a storied brand adapts to today's digital-first world. The Product team works across multiple digital properties including the editorial website, conferences, affiliate content, B2B partnerships and more. Our goal is to launch new products to diversify revenue streams and improve the experience and monetization of existing properties.

About the role

Fortune Media is seeking a highly motivated and strategic Senior Product Manager, Ads & Partnerships to drive revenue growth through product innovation at the intersection of technology, advertising, and business strategy. This role reports to the Director of Product Management, Growth and offers significant strategic ownership with high visibility across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Own the monetization product roadmap: Define and execute product strategy for advertising optimization, programmatic partnerships, and revenue-driving initiatives across Fortune's digital properties.
  • Drive enterprise customer success: Partner with Sales, Business Development, and Ad Operations to solve partner pain points and ensure campaign success.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives: Collaborate with Engineering, Editorial, and Revenue teams to launch features that balance user experience and revenue growth.
  • Optimize advertising performance: Use data and analytics to identify opportunities for ad inventory optimization, improve fill rates, and maximize yield across programmatic and direct channels.
  • Be the voice of the customer: Build relationships with enterprise advertising partners, translate needs into product specifications, and ensure delivery.
  • Define technical requirements: Work with Engineering to create product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Champion experimentation: Design and run A/B tests to measure the impact of monetization initiatives on revenue and user experience.
  • Drive data-driven decision making: Track KPIs and ROI using analytics and BI tools to inform roadmap decisions.
  • Communicate impact: Present insights and results to senior leadership to demonstrate business value.
  • Navigate complexity: Balance competing priorities across Sales, Editorial, Product, and Engineering while focusing on measurable outcomes.

  • Experience writing detailed product requirements and working with engineering teams.
  • Ability to translate technical complexity to non-technical audiences.
  • 5+ years of product management experience with at least 2 years in monetization, advertising, or B2B products.

Bonus Skills

  • AI-forward approach to product development and willingness to adopt AI tools.
  • Experience in media, publishing, or content-driven businesses.
  • Experience with CMS platforms and content workflows.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Looker) and project management tools (Jira, Asana, Confluence).
  • Understanding Core Web Vitals, SEO, and how page performance impacts advertising.
  • Experience working with direct sales teams to build scalable solutions.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and optimization frameworks.

What success looks like

Within the first 3 months you will have built strong stakeholder relationships across Sales, Ad Ops, and Engineering; shipped at least one high-impact monetization feature or optimization; established KPIs and reporting frameworks; and developed a strategic roadmap aligned with Fortune's revenue goals.

Compensation & Benefits

Total Salary: Up to $160,000 including 10% bonus.

Location & schedule

This role is based in NYC with around 5 days/week in the office (on-site).
