About Our Company

We are a young, dynamically growing public limited company in the healthcare sector. Since 2007, we have been developing innovative solutions and services with a dedicated team of currently 100 employees to improve the quality of statutory health insurance providers' care offerings and purchase services more economically. In the field of digitalization, we are among the drivers of the industry. Our products serve over 24 million insured persons daily. 75 health insurance companies across Germany already trust our expertise, with a rising trend. Our success is due in no small part to flat hierarchies, a strong team spirit, a respectful interaction, and a constructive atmosphere that fosters creativity and ideas.

Your Tasks

As part of an interdisciplinary team of data scientists and experts from health services research, health economics, and medicine, you will generate insights and impulses for innovative business models and services from which our health insurance companies and insured persons benefit. With your expertise in large datasets, you leverage the potential of our data sources to identify over-, under-, and incorrect care, and make the results usable for improving care. Your work takes place within the team and across GWQ departments, as well as in cooperation with external actors (scientific institutions, data labs, start-ups, etc.).
Your specific tasks include:
  • Responsibility and conception of analytics projects with statutory health insurance routine data (e.g., also as product owner): jointly developing questions with experts, conceiving data science projects, developing a clear product vision for the project team.
  • Responsibility for product/analysis results features and project completion.
  • Conducting exploratory analyses using supervised/unsupervised machine learning, including data cleaning, data evaluation, and visualization.
  • Short-term response to questions and feasibility analyses for early project success assessment.
  • Communication with stakeholders.
  • Cooperation and support with/by partners.

Your Profile

  • Completed university studies in data science, (bio-/business) informatics, (business) mathematics, health economics, economics, public health, epidemiology, or related fields.
  • Professional experience in conceiving and conducting analysis projects (e.g., as product owner or senior data scientist).
  • Experience in (agile) project management.
  • Knowledge of handling billing data in healthcare is an advantage.
  • Solid knowledge of common data science software (e.g., Python, R).
  • Experience working with relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server or similar).
  • Team player, resilient, committed, and flexible.

Our Offer

After thorough onboarding, we offer you the opportunity to participate in the development of our company as an innovative company in the growing healthcare market in this exciting field of activity. We provide an attractive working environment with a modern workplace concept ("New Work"), characterized by a mix of home office and office workdays. You will receive a performance-based salary with a proven bonus system that includes company and individual goals.
Additionally, we offer numerous extras (e.g., discounted Germany ticket, bike leasing, corporate health management, special leave on special occasions) as well as training opportunities through internal and external courses. We also provide prospects for professional and personal development.
