Your tasks
As part of an interdisciplinary team of data scientists and experts from health services research, health economics, and medicine, you generate insights and impulses for innovative business models and services that benefit our health insurance companies and insured persons. With your expertise in large data volumes, you harness the potential of our data sources to identify over-, under-, and incorrect care and make the results usable for improving care. Your work is done within the team, across GWQ areas, and in cooperation with external actors (scientific institutions, data labs, start-ups, etc.).
Your specific duties include:
- Responsible for and conceptualizing analytics projects with statutory health insurance routine data (e.g., as a Product Owner): Joint development of questions with experts, project conception, developing a clear product vision for the project team
- Responsibility for product/analysis results characteristics and project completion
- Conducting exploratory analyses using supervised/unsupervised machine learning including data cleaning, data evaluation, and visualization
- Short-term answering of questions and feasibility analyses for early project success assessment
- Communication with stakeholders
- Collaboration and support with/cooperation partners
Your profile
Completed university studies in data science, (bio-/business) informatics, (business) mathematics, health economics, economics, public health, epidemiology, or related fields
Professional experience in conceptualizing and conducting analysis projects (e.g., as Product Owner or Senior Data Scientist)
Experience in (agile) project management
Knowledge of handling billing data in healthcare is an advantage
Proficient in common data science software (e.g., Python, R)
Experience working with relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server or similar)
Team player, resilience, commitment, and flexibility
