As Manager (gn) Healthcare Economics, you will be part of the six-person Health Policy team at the Berlin location and report directly to the managing director. With your expertise, you will be significantly involved in strengthening the position of the association and its members based on health economic evidence.
What to do
- You take on the data-based calculation and projection of cost and revenue developments in social insurance, especially statutory health insurance. You evaluate reform options based on these calculations, such as the digitization of important parts of health care regarding their financial effects.
- You derive implications for the healthcare system from the insights and deal with the social and labor market policy consequences. You evaluate these based on your well-founded theoretical and practical insights into the German health system.
- You assess the quantitative-empirical commissioned work of external service providers.
- Due to your previous experience, you are a pioneer within the vfa for new approaches and projects that underpin the association's claim to shape its advocacy on an evidence-based data basis.
- You master, through the use of audience-appropriate communication and storytelling, to convey the results worked out vividly and tangibly for the various stakeholders and to put them in the context of the association's interests.
- Furthermore, you take over the technical management in the projects you initiate. You network and bundle the quantitative empirical expertise of the association in the newly founded vfa think tank.
Who we are looking for
- You have a university degree in economics, health economics or a similar course of study with a macroeconomic perspective.
- You have profound empirical-quantitative methodological knowledge and have been able to apply your knowledge in professional and research practice.
- In addition to your relevant academic background, you have already gained professional experience with the German healthcare system and are well acquainted with its framework conditions. Ideally, you are also familiar with the modeling of statutory health insurance finances.
- Personally, we expect the ability to work strategically, analytically, and conceptually, high communication skills, and a strong ability to network.
- Your enthusiasm for health policy issues and your proactive working style enable you to develop and implement project ideas with a high degree of initiative.
- Good knowledge of the English language in spoken and written form as well as experience in project management complete your profile.
