Job description

Become part of a bigger vision:

We are rethinking the healthcare system with a focus on what really matters: the best possible treatment for patients. We make the health-related quality of life of patients the most important success factor in healthcare and enable quality-oriented collaboration between all parties involved in healthcare.
Our software makes it easy to capture high-quality patient feedback and integrate it specifically into the treatment process. Together with patients, medical professionals, and health insurance companies, we continuously develop our offerings for a modern, efficient, and truly patient-centered healthcare.

Your role encompasses diverse areas:

As part of our Business Operations team in Berlin, you will work closely with management and actively shape all HR topics together:

  • You are the first point of contact in the Berlin office and ensure a warm, supportive working atmosphere for the local team
  • You develop measures for the further development of our employees and support feedback formats and development discussions
  • You drive strategic HR projects – e.g., related to culture, benefits, performance, or organizational development
  • You are responsible for personnel administration – from contract creation to maintaining data in Personio
  • You prepare the monthly payroll for our external tax office and ensure clean reporting
  • You coordinate collaboration with external partners such as benefit providers, insurance, occupational safety, and authorities
  • You accompany recruiting together with our managers – from advertising to hiring
  • You design and organize onboarding and offboarding of new colleagues
  • You ensure the smooth and data protection-compliant organization of our Berlin office – including internal team events.

Your profile

  • A completed degree and at least 2 years of professional experience in a generalist HR role – ideally in an agile working environment
  • Confident handling of HR systems – experience with Personio is a plus
  • Negotiation-level German and English skills in spoken and written form (C2)
  • Solid knowledge of labor law topics and a good sense of employee needs
  • You work structured, independently, and solution-oriented – and communicate clearly and empathetically
  • You are curious and open to independently working on new issues
  • You think along, take responsibility, and actively contribute to the team

What to expect from us

  • Attractive conditions: A competitive compensation package, 30 days of vacation, flexible working hours, hybrid work with an office in Berlin, and personal development opportunities. Your salary is transparently based on our salary bands and is fairly determined based on your experience and know-how.
  • A truly meaningful mission: We revolutionize the view of treatment quality and put health-related quality of life at the center of the healthcare system. You will help improve the healthcare system sustainably in the area of value-based healthcare – patients will directly benefit from your work.
  • Company benefits: While we work on products to improve patients' quality of life, we also care about the quality of life of our employees. Therefore, we offer an Urban Sports membership and access to the work-life balance online platform Voiio for you and your family.
  • An open and respectful team: You are part of an international, cross-functional team. We value the opportunity to grow as a team by learning and developing new skills together. We appreciate every idea and concern within our team.

Sounds like an exciting task, doesn't it?

We at Heartbeat Medical believe that current social structures disproportionately disadvantage people from marginalized groups – including People of Color, people with disabilities, working-class people, single parents, women, and members of LGBTQIA+ communities. We also believe that these groups must be actively included in the workforce! Therefore, we explicitly encourage people with these identities or members of other marginalized communities to apply. We do not require a photo, gender, or legal status information.

ACCESS TO THE OFFICE
Our office is wheelchair accessible in most areas. There is a ramp to enter the building (although no automatic doors), wheelchair-accessible toilets, and desks.
