Job description

Join a Bigger Vision:

We are rethinking the healthcare system with a focus on what really matters: the best possible treatment for patients. We make patient-reported health quality the key success factor in healthcare and enable quality-oriented cooperation among all stakeholders in the healthcare system.
Our software makes it easy to capture high-quality patient feedback and integrate it effectively into the treatment process. Together with patients, medical professionals, and health insurers, we continuously develop our offerings for a modern, efficient, and truly patient-centered healthcare system.

Your Role Includes Versatile Areas:

As part of our Business Operations team in Berlin, you work closely with management and actively shape all HR topics together:

  • You are the first contact person in the Berlin office and ensure a warm, supportive working atmosphere for the on-site team
  • You develop measures for the further development of our employees and support feedback formats and development discussions
  • You drive strategic HR projects forward – e.g., on culture, benefits, performance, or organizational development
  • You are responsible for personnel administration – from contract creation to data maintenance in Personio
  • You prepare the monthly payroll for our external tax office and ensure clean reporting
  • You coordinate cooperation with external partners such as benefit providers, insurers, occupational safety, and authorities
  • You accompany recruitment together with our managers – from job posting to hiring
  • You design and organize onboarding and offboarding of new colleagues
  • You ensure the smooth and data protection compliant organization of our Berlin office – including internal team events.

Your Profile

  • A completed degree and at least 2 years of professional experience in a generalist HR role – ideally in an agile working environment
  • Confident handling of HR systems – experience with Personio is a plus
  • Fluent German and English language skills, written and spoken (C2)
  • Solid knowledge of labor law topics as well as a good sense of employee needs
  • You work structured, independently and solution-oriented – and communicate clearly and empathetically
  • You are curious and open to working independently on new issues
  • You think ahead, take responsibility and actively contribute to the team

What Awaits You with Us

  • Attractive conditions: A competitive compensation package, 30 days of vacation, flexible working hours, hybrid work with an office in Berlin, and personal development opportunities. Your salary is transparently based on our salary bands and is fairly determined according to your experience and know-how.
  • A truly meaningful mission: We are revolutionizing the view on treatment quality and placing health-related quality of life at the center of the healthcare system. You directly contribute to sustainably improving healthcare in the area of Value-based Healthcare – patients benefit directly from your work.
  • Company Benefits: While we work on products to improve patients' quality of life, we also care about our employees' quality of life. Therefore, we offer an Urban Sports membership and access to the work-life balance online platform Voiio for you and your family.
  • An open and respectful team: You are part of an international, cross-functional team. We appreciate the opportunity to grow as a team by learning and developing new skills together. Every idea and concern within our team is valued.

Sounds like an exciting task, right?

We at Heartbeat Medical believe that today's social structures disproportionately disadvantage people from marginalized groups - including people of color, people with disabilities, working-class people, single parents, women, and members of LGBTQIA+ communities. We neither require a photo nor information about your gender or legal status.

ACCESS TO THE OFFICE
Our office is wheelchair accessible in most areas. There is a ramp to enter the building (but no automatic doors), wheelchair-accessible toilets, and desks.
